interpersonal(people smart)

Kenneth:May I have your opinions about crime and punishment?
Mum:Commiting a crime is a serious offence. From my point of view, whoever that commits a crime should think of the consequences of his actions before making any drastic move that may allow him/her to regret for his/her entire life.Punishment should be dealt to the murderer or criminal fairly. This way it allows the criminal or murderer to do some thinking and soul-searching about what he/she has done. The only way a murderer can atone his/her sin in which he has done is by exchanging his/her own life for the life which he/she has destroyed.only through this can justice prevail and order and peace can be maintained.
Kenneth:What are some necessitties that you must have in order to be able to communicate in a relationship?
Mum:I personally feel that trust is the most important thing in a relationship.Trust must be present in a relationship in order to be able to communicate. If trust is not present, couples will start to quarell about trival matters or else the entire relationship would be broken. Therefore, trust is an important part in a relationship.
Kenneth:Thank you for your personal opinons and sorry if i have caused any inconvinience and to have taken up your precious time.

Lamborghini Gallardo

The Lamborghini Gallardo is a sports car built by Lamborghini. The Gallardo is Lamborghini's most-produced model to date, with over 5000 built in its first three years of production. Each car costs about $180,000 to $210,000. The car is named after a famous breed of fighting bull. The spanish word gallardo translates into "gallant," and from Italian into "striking".
The Gallardo offers two choices of transmissions, a conventional (H-Box) six-speed manual transmission, and an advanced six-speed electro-hydraulically controlled semi-automatic robotized manual, which Lamborghini abbreviates to "E-gear". The "E-gear" allows the driver to make shifts much faster than a manual transmission would. The driver shifts up and down via paddles behind the steering wheel, and does not and cannot manually actuate the clutch.
For the MY2006 (launched in late 2005) Lamborghini introduced many changes to the car to counter some criticisms garnered by the press and owners. These were derived from the limited edition Gallardo SE. The exhaust system was changed to a more sporty one (including a flap to make it quieter around town), the suspension was revised and a new steering rack was fitted, the engine power was increased by 20 bhp to a maximum of 512 brake horsepower (382 kW), the biggest change was an overall lowering of the gearing especially in 1st to 5th. The result was a much improved car, it handled and turned in better, sounded better under full throttle and the extra power and lower gearing turned an already fast car into a seriously quick one.
The Audi R8 sports car, launched in early 2007, is based on the Gallardo platform, and uses a 4.2 litre V8 in place of the Gallardo's V10 to avoid competing directly with the Gallardo. In December 2008, Audi unveiled a V10 Audi R8, with a detuned version of the Gallardo's, placed between the R8 V8 and the Gallardo. For the 2008 model year, features added to the Gallardo included an onboard computer, iPod connectivity with USB, heated mirrors, Q-citura stitching that originally could only be found on the Nera model, and a beige soft-top on the Spyder.I feel that the Gallardo is a very slick car.I even saw one zoom past my school while waiting for the bus to take me home.I could not believe that I saw a Lamborghini Gallardo right before my very eyes.I thought that I was dreaming or something.I feel that it is as gallent and striking as its name has said it is.

Cross country

On wednesday,24th of febuary,my school held our annual cross country. My school didn't hold this event last year due to the H1n1 pandemic and is not sure if it will be held next year due to the construction of the new MRT station. All the secondary ones in my school had to run a distance of 3km.As my stamina is rather low and I get tired easily, I thought that I would never be able to finish the run.The teachers were encouraging us along the way not to give up.Maybe that was what motivated me to continue running. In the end, I was persistent and had the determination to finish the run no matter what.In the end, I was able to overcome this challenge. To my disbelief, I was not one of the last few in the secondary one cahort.I was very proud of myself and i had felt a sense of achievement. In the competitive run,the six competitive runners from my class came in overall 2nd.After the anouncement, my entire class rejoyced as the six competitive runners from my class went to get their medals. The feeling you get is one like no other when you achieve something with your own capibillities. To my surprise, even the teachers were running in the cross country alongside us.I feel that this cross country was truly a successful one and I am really looking forward to next year's run.

The similarities and differences between Lamb to the slaughter and The way up to heaven

Sadly again, I have been given another LA assignment to do and must blog about it in order to get ACE points. So please bear with me and I will be putting up a new post some time today. In addition, please give me more comments so that I will get more ACE points or else i would not be able to fulfil the requirements.
The two stories that I will blogging about today is Lamb to the slaughter and The way up to heaven which are both written by the famous Roald Dahl(favourite author of many people when they were still young)
The similarities are that in the end both husbands die.The similarities of the two stories is that both have the same theme which is lying and deception. Both is about the wife killing their husband whether directly or indirectly. I will start with a brief introduction to Lamb to the slaughter.
Mary Maloney is the wife of Patrick Maloney.Mary Maloney is a good housekeeper and keeps the house very clean. She always does as per what her husband askes her to do what and she is willing to do anything to please him.Patrick Maloney is probably caring and takes his wife out every Thursday. He is probably treating Mary well as Mary is deeply in love with him and enjoys the quiet moments in which they share together the most. She feels that her life is very contented and very peaceful. His wife, Mary is totally in love with her husband and he awaits his return from work every evening .She prepares whisky for her husband to drink when he came home. When he returned, Mary enjoyed his company and the presence of him feel almost like a sunbather feels the Sun. When Patrick told Mary that he wanted to leave her probably for another woman , she could not believe it and she was angered by her husband's decision and made a drastic move to the extent of using a leg of lamb to murder him.She uses the same amount of care and planing to carry out the murder as she used to take care of the house. She did not even feel regretful or guilty at all for the drastic move in which she had made. She was completely emotionless after what she has done.Based on her outer appearence and actions, she seems like the kind of woman that will be easily contented as long as er husband treats her well. But under all that layers of skin, she is actually someone who is rather emotionless and scheming.I believe that she need not go to the extent of killing Patrick Maloney as in the process she has made their child fartherless and the child will be very sad when he/she finds out that his/her own mother murdered someone. That is why as the saying goes"Never judge a book by its cover".
The brief summary of Way up to heaven is about two people, Mr and Mrs Foster. The live in a old gloomy house in New York and had few visitors. Mrs Foster is a person who dreads being late, gets nervous at the thought of being late and will be unable to sit down and keep still.she will start to flutter and fidget from room to room.Mr Foster likes to irritate Mrs Foster by trying to delay her from going to somewhere as much as possible and by keeping her waiting, he seems to enjoy how anxious she gets when she is nervous. One January morning, Mrs Foster was going to France to visit her daughter and grand children. Mr Foster took his own sweet time to come out of the house and tried all sorts of methods and ways to delay Mrs Foster. When they were in the car, Mr Foster suddenly said that he could not find a present for his daughter and went into the house again to find it. Mrs Foster then notices the present was tucked down the side of the car seat.
She then decided to go into the house to inform Mr Foster but when she went in, she heard the noise of the lift not working and was now stuck in betwwen the two floors. Upon hearing that , she stops and closed the door. In the end,she manages to catch the plane and went to France to visit her daughter to spend some quality time with her daughter and grandchildren without a care in the world. It was as if she was like a bird that had been trapped in a cage for ages and finally set free.
Six weeks later, she returns to her house only to find that something smelled a little funny. She walked swiftly around the house appearing to be investigating something and then confirmed it. Obviously, she knew that her husband had died in the lift as he was being trapped in the lift six weeks ago and the strange smell must have came from his body in which was most probably rotting or decomposing. From my point of view,I think she seems rather happy as the death of her husband has stopped all the delaying which her husband does and(I think) she will bacome less paranoid.
The difference about the story is that Mary Maloney was only tortured by her husband for a few minutes before she killing him with a leg of lamb while Mrs Foster allowed her husband suffer the torture and misery that he had experienced while he was being trapped in the lift for six weeks.
In my opinion, I think that Mrs Foster's case of murdering her husband was more cruel in a way that her husband died a little by little, and will feel that his strenght is ebbing away with every passing second in which he is trapped in the lift. While in Mary Maloney's case, she kill him in less than a few seconds. This means that Mr Foster was left trapped in the lift for at least a few days in the lift without food and water and eventually died due to the lack of things which humans require in order to survive.
The similarity on the theme, lying and deception means that Mr Foster lied about the fact that he did not bring the present for his daughter and in Lamb to the slaughter, the part on deception is that the character of Patrick Maloney.Mary Maloney and Mrs Foster changed from the beginning to the end of the story. These are two woman which I would never want to meet cause my life would gone in a matter of minutes.

Trip to the Singapore Discovery Centre

Sadly I have to blog about my trip to the Singapore Discovery Centre for Total Defence Day in order to get ACE points.I wonder why my teacher can't just accept a report that has been written on a piece of paper.Okay, moving on.We learnt about the past and the present of Singapore at the SDC.We also learnt about the five defences.Social defence,Economical defence,Civil defence, psychological defence and Millitary defence.I thoght that learning about these five defences and what they mean is very meaningful. We also had to fill in an Emergency Preparedness Gamecard. It was fun filling in the Gamecard as the answers to the questions were everywhere. In the end, I managed to solve the Gamecard without having any difficulty.Through this experience, I have gained valuable knowledge on the five defences and at the same time what we should do when facing a crisis.

comparision between lamb to the slaughter, love and male child

I know i told you'll that I'll post on lamborghini's but this is an LA blog so no choice must do as what the teacher ask.I prefer lamb to the slaughter to the two other stories as the climax when Mary Maloney kills her own husband with a lamb leg because he is leaving her for someone else is very exciting.Mary Maloney becomes a totally different person, one that is scheming and deceptive. This sudden turn of events jolts readers like myself to want to read on and find out what happens in the end. This story provides a twist that no one would have imagined.Neither would anyone have thought that the caring and pleasing Mary Maloney would make such a drastic move as to killing her own husband out of anger. She is indeed a wolf that is hiding under sheep's skin.

Lamborghini 6.0 VT and 6.0 VT Roadster

After Audi AG took over Lamborghini from its former South East Asian owners in 1998, Mycom and VPower, they set out to modernize and refine the Diablo, while its replacement, the murcielago was developed. Audi tasked Luc Donckerwolcke with designing a more refined, more civilized, and more modern Diablo. The 6.0 VT was the result of that design. It featured heavy styling changes both inside and out; the front bumper now featured 2 large air intakes and the nose was flattened. It sat on large 18 inch monoblock alloy wheels reminiscent of the 5 hole dial wheels of the Countach. Significant changes were made to the interior too, the drivers seat was moved in line with the pedals, and climate control air conditioning was standard. There was a much larger use of carbon fibre too, to the point that only the roof and doors were metal. (alloy and steel respectively) Magnesium was used for the wheels, cylinder heads and inlet manifolds, and the con-rods were made from titanium. The centre console was one large piece of carbon fibre. The 6.0 VT featured the new 6.0 litre V12, based on the motor that powered the Diablo GT (which in itself was essentially a modified version of the 5.7) The motor had updated ECU software in addition to new intake and exhaust systems and a refined variable valve timing system with slightly less aggressive camshafts than had been used in the earlier versions. With a power output of 550 BHP directly from the factory, the Diablo VT 6.0 was again to be considered a major competitor in the super car league, and Automobili Lamborghini SpA focused all their resources on this final Diablo model and the successor, all other models in the range were halted, no more Roadster or SV models were offered. The 6.0 VT had higher comfort levels, came with air conditioning as standard, the seats were much improved and the interior draped in glistening carbon fibre. The build quality was superior to any previous Diablo model. These improvements would make the 6.0 VT the most practical of all the Diablos. As a final hurrah to the Diablo, they made one last final edition of the Diablo called 6.0 VT SE, which was available in either gold or bronze, symbolizing sunrise and sunset. A gold Diablo 6.0 VT SE is in the Lamborghini museum in Bologna.I don't really have anything much to say about this car except that with all these features, this two cars are bound to be two of the most excellent cars on the road.

lamborghini GT and GTR

The Lamborghini Diablo GT (Gran Turismo) is a high-performance sportscar built by Italian automaker Lamborghini in 1999.The Diablo GT was only and officially sold in Europe. Eighty models were built. The Diablo GT's price is estimate at $300,000.It's such a shame that the Diablo GT is only sold in Europe.I feel that they should sell all models of the lamborghini in every country and not restrict certain models to a particAfter campaigning the Diablo SV-R for four years in the Diablo Supertrophy Lamborghini launched a completely new car for the 2000 season. This Diablo GTR is a modified version of the GT. In comparison with the Diablo GT, the GTR's most important features are a modified chassis frame with integrated roll bar, improved suspensions, central fixing nut for the rims, race braking system, additional radiators for transmission oil cooling, very high performance rear wing (directly bolted to the chassis), simplified interiors and weight reduction. The engine is basically the same V12, 6 litre, of the Diablo GT which thanks to the adoption of a specially tuned exhaust system, without catalyser, delivers 590 hp (440 kW; 600 PS) (575 in the GT model). The engine management system is based on the proprietary Lamborghini LIE electronic engine control system tuned for racing. Fuel injection is sequential multipoint and ignition is static with individual coils. Lamborghini Data Acquisition System, LDAS, and diagnostic functions are integrated in the engine electronic management system. For the engine cooling, two water radiators in parallel are side mounted to the engine and an engine oil cooler is front mounted as in the Diablo GT. Additional coolers for gearbox and differential oil are installed in order to better match the racing overloads.
Instead of the Diablo GT's 6-speed, the transmission is on the rear wheels through a Lamborghini 5-speed gearbox with one basic gear ratio option and an alternative option for a shorter 5th gear ratio. The gear box lever is in an asymmetric position on the central tunnel in order to be closer to the steering wheel, for better control. The steering system is power assisted. The tubular chassis frame integrates the roll bar and is directly connected to the rear wing. The front suspension is modified for racing. Shock absorbers and anti-roll bars are adjustable. The rims are lightweight magnesium alloy with central fixing nut and they accept racing type tyres. A special racing fuel tank with fast filling system has been installed. The braking system is based on the Diablo GT high performance module. New racing brake calipers have been adopted to better match the very severe racing conditions. Most of the body is carbon fibre made, except for the roof, which is made of steel for torsional rigidity, while the doors are made of aluminium, for safety reasons. The cockpit fittings are simplified to meet racing requirements. The driver seat has been moved towards the longitudinal axle of the car, reducing the size of the central tunnel, to ensure a better driving position. Racing switches for ignition and for other functions have been adopted instead of the series push buttons. The fire extinguisher system is installed on the right side of the cockpit with activating switch on the tunnel. The driver's seat is of racing type with a six-point safety belt and the steering wheel is also racing type.A production run of 30 cars was planned at the launch of the car at the 1999 Bologna Motorshow, but at the end of the run 40 cars were built.ular country.I like the way they think and work planning to produce 30 of them but in the end 40.They must be thinking that the Diablo GT-R is going to be a huge success and a big hit to the lamborghini lovers all over planet Earth.

Lamborghini diablo VT and VT Roadster

The second version of the VT coupé and roadster added mostly cosmetic and styling changes. The cars now featured the SV's exposed headlamps (borrowed from the Nissan 300ZX 1990-96,
and used under license), new wheels and a newly redesigned dashboard. On the mechanical side, larger brakes, the addition of ABS brakes and a new variable valve timing system on the
5.7-litre V12 were the only mechanical updates. Power output increased to 529 hp (394 kW; 536 PS). The standard 0-100 km/h time was 3.8 seconds, but it could be launched in 3.6 seconds by revving to 6000 rpm and sidestepping the clutch. Despite the money Lamborghini had spent making the updates, the "Version 2" VTs were discontinued after only one year of production.I feel that the Diablo VT and VT roadster are two very unique and yet special cars of certain qualities. There is just one thing that i don't understand, why did Lamborghini stop the production of the "Version 2" VTs. I am really hoping beyond hope that Lamborghini will continue the production of the "Version 2 " VTs and nothing of this sort will ever happen again to any model of the Lamborghinis.
