Cross country
On wednesday,24th of febuary,my school held our annual cross country.My school didn't hold this event last year due to the H1n1 pandemic and is not sure if it will be held next year due to the construction of the new MRT station.All the secondary ones in my school had to run a distance of 3km.As my stamina is rather low and I get tired easily, I thought that I would never be able to finish the run.The teachers were encouraging us along the way not to give up.Maybe that was what motivated me to continue running. In the end, I was persistent and had the determination to finish the run no matter what.In the end, I was able to overcome this challenge.To my disbelief, I was not one of the last few in the secondary one cahort.I was very proud of myself and i had felt a sense of achievement.In the competitive run,the six competitive runners from my class came in overall 2nd.After the anouncement, my entire class rejoyced as the six competitive runners from my class went to get their medals.The feeling you get is one like no other when you achieve something with your own capibillities.To my surprise,even the teachers were running in the cross country alongside us.I feel that this cross country was truly a successful one and I am really looking forward to next year's run.

Great job in pushing yourself to the limit to complete the 3km cross country. There are many who will give up halfway because they do not have the determination and self-belief. Hope you will apply this mentality in your life's many obstacles in future.
ReplyDeleteRunning trains your endurance, stamina, and tolerance mentally and physically. Use the same endurance you had in the run and apply it in daily life be it now, later or the future. Besides, running frequently increases your stamina and prepares you for your IPPT or BMT.
