Hi guys, due to home-learning I am to write a poem about my school days and the teachers there too. The poem is mostly about the teachers and important they are to me because if not for their teaching and guidance, I would not be here.( I hope you don't mind,Mrs Anu) I hope you all like it.
Ai Tong School has many excellent teachers,
Inspiring our lives every single day,
Thoughtful and kind-hearted they are,
Oi ! Is not what we should call them!!!
Never be rude or show signs of defiance,
Goss or disgusting...
Though not all are kind,
Every teacher is special and one of a kind.
And using unique teaching techniques,
Caring for all their pupils,
Helping them with their studies,
Espicially weaker pupils.
Ransack school bags sometimes,
So as to catch "theives"
And catch pupils who did
Not do their work and say "forget"
Dull and gloomy some may be...
Primary school teachers are like that...
Understand they have difficulties with
Problematic pupils who often
Irritate friends or pull girls with
Long hair and see them cry.
School teachers are so noble!

ReplyDeleteThis sounds more of a blog then a poem. The writer is expressing some of his feelings and experiences pertaining to his school days. He does indirectly admit that he wasn't the perfect student. He realizes it by stating his thoughts on how it was like or how might the teachers feel everyday if he was in their shoes trying to teach and discipline the children. The writer realizes it was hard work. And he seems to have learned by his bad experiences now by expressing his gratitude and thankfulness of the teachers who made him who he is now. Just by reading the blog, I feel he has come a long way and is now more mature. Of course nobody is perfect in this world... but we could only try to better ourselves each day.

Not a bad try for a first attempt. However, do double check your spelling after typing into the computer to correct those typing errors :)

ReplyDeleteYour really depicts the typical life in a Primary school. I can see that you are trying your best to make use of rhymes which I think is the most difficult part of a poem. You did not make use of much literary devices maybe at that time you were still not too sure about poems. Anyway well done!
ReplyDeleteA good poem describing about your primary school teachers, every teacher has his own teaching style. After reading this poem, I remembered my teachers, some are serious but humourous, some are very caring and always share stories. The same thing is, they do their jobs and try their best to help the weak students. Even though I don't like lessons very much, but I want to thanks all my teachers who have taught me before.
ReplyDeleteyou did not include your friends in this poem, you were merely talking about your teachers, does school only include teachers??? okay, not mentioning that anymore, however, your poem was pretty good as it describes and mentions every single detail about the teachers in your school. your teachers seem to be perfect in your poem and I admire you for having such good teachers. My teachers were good too but unfortunately, some of them were too fierce for us. Nonetheless, I was grateful because mine was not and I enjoyed my primary school days pretty much. teachers are noble and wise, we should respect them and never disobey their instructions because this is a sign of disrespect to them and might hurt their feelings as well...

Your book reviews are very comprehensive and interesting. You seem to like lamborghini and Percy Jackson very much and writes a lot about them. You could have talked more about your life to make your blog more interesting. Other than that, your blog is also very well-designed. Your poems are also very fluent and nice. Good attempt.
