First it was a Ferrari, now even a Lamborghini is on fire. A black Lamborghini caught fire along Holland Road on Friday, a week after a Ferrari that blazed up in flames made the headlines. Luckily no one was injured in the accident. If not for a passer-by that used a fire extinguisher which he had just bought and kept in his car. The driver of the lamborghini was a 30-year-old man who had a female passenger with him. You may be wondering why the car caught fire. So let me list a few reasons.
1:A motor vehicle contains many types of flammable materials, including flammable liquids like gasoline and oil as well as solid combustibles such as upholstery. Fuel leaks from ruptured fuel
lines also can rapidly ignite.Vehicles house multiple potential sources of ignition including electrical devices that may short circuits, hot exhaust systems, and modern car devices such as air bag detonators.
2:Also, car batteries pose a fairly unique hazard in themselves: hydrogen gas evolved in the electrolysis reaction ignites readily in fire conditions and can result in an explosive dispersion of battery acid.

sighs, what a waste of a great car. sure was a heart wrenching news to me when i read the report. anyone wants a drink besides Mr Kenneth as he's underage? a flaming Lamborghini perhaps? hahah
ReplyDeleteSad for the driver. He lost his Lamborghini. It must have been heartbreaking for him.Why the cars catching fire are all sports car and not normal cars?
ReplyDeleteTo seb10's comment, I think you don't have to be too sad for the driver, he probably can easily afford another one.
ReplyDeleteBut in any case, like what Kenneth said, it's a good thing that no one was injured, that's definitely the most important thing after all.
